2017 Summer Skills Series Registration Now Open

The Sharks High School Hockey League and Solar4America Ice are proud to present its Summer Skills Series for 2017. This series is a set of practices that will be geared toward Junior Varsity level players and is open to incoming freshmen through graduating seniors.

Sessions will be fast paced in tempo, with group/station drills to maintain a proper work-to-rest ratio. Emphasis will be on individual skill development (skating, passing, shooting, puck handling.) In addition to drills, small area games will be included at the end of each practice to promote quick thinking, rapid skill development, as well as create a positive learning environment.

Space is limited so sign up quick. Each practice is 75 minutes in length. There are two pricing options; the complete series is $225 for all ten sessions or you can participate on a drop-in basis for $28 per session. Drop-in spots can only be reserved by calling the Solar4America Ice front desk, the day of the session.

First session is Monday 6/26/17 - 5:15pm-6:30pm on San Jose - South

S.A.T. League Registration Now Open!

Solar4America Ice is proud to announce the Sharks High School Hockey 2017 S.A.T. League. The S.A.T. league is geared towards novice to intermediate Junior Varsity skill level players and is non-check. The goal of the S.A.T. League is to allow players to develop their individual skills without the fear of getting checked. In addition, players will learn positional play and team concepts.

This is a perfect opportunity for those who are getting into the game of hockey or for those who want to sharpen their skills in a fun, safe, and relaxed atmosphere.

Teams are drafted after evaluation sessions in order to create a good level of parity in the league.

Registration Fee: $435

Includes: 2 Evaluation Sessions, 7 Practices, 8 Games and Jersey

Evaluation Dates:
5/5/17 5:15-6:15pm - San Jose South
5/8/17 7:45-8:45pm - San Jose South

2016-17 Junior Varsity Championships

JVA - Norcal Storm, JVB - Los Gatos Wildcats, JVC - Jr Sharks Girls

The Sharks High School Hockey League held their 2016-17 Junior Varsity Championships this past weekend with three very exciting championship games.

Junior Varsity A Champions - Norcal Storm

The Norcal Storm won in decisive fashion over the St. Francis Lancers with a 7 to 1 victory. The Storm went up early in the first with the Lancers answering back shortly after. The Storm would ultimately keep the Lancers at 1 goal, scoring 6 unanswered goals to win the game.

Junior Varsity B Champions - Los Gatos Wildcats

The Los Gatos Wildcats earned their 5 to 3 victory in a hard fought battle with the East Bay Spartans. The Wildcats opened up scoring early in the second, with back and forth goals between both teams in the third. The Wildcats secured their win with an empty net goal in the last minute of the game.

Junior Varsity C Champions - Jr Sharks Girls

The Jr Sharks Girls ended an exciting back and forth game in double overtime against the Oakland Tech Bulldogs. The Jr Sharks took the lead in the first period and held it until Oakland tied it up late in the third. The game finally came to end with a short handed goal by the Jr Sharks in the second overtime.
