Spring/Camp Hockey

SHSHL Spring Training Camp Series 2

A new session is about to begin. This Five week long program will  take place on the weekends and consist of Ten ice sessions sessions in total. Starting April17th and will end May 16th.   The camp will be limited to 60 player. Players will be placed in groups that consist of 30 players. 
The on-ice emphasis will be on individual skills (shooting, passing, skating, puck handling) and situational play.  Majority of drills will use larger zones of the ice so that players can get accustomed to game-like situations while adhering to the County social distancing guidelines.

S.A.T. League

DUE TO COVID 19 STATE PROTOCOALS THE S.A.T. LEAGUE IS CANCELLED FOR THE 2021 SEASON!!! MORE INFO TO COME.

Season: Mid April to Mid June

The S.A.T. league is geared towards novice to intermediate Junior Varsity skill level players and is non-check. The goal of the S.A.T. League is to allow players to develop their individual skills without the fear of getting checked. In addition, players will learn positional play and team concepts. This is a perfect opportunity for those who are getting into the game of hockey or for those who want to sharpen their skills in a fun, safe, and relaxed atmosphere. Teams are drafted after evaluation sessions in order to create a good level of parity in the league.

Junior Varsity Training Camp

Late August to Late September

The Sharks High School Hockey League and Solar4America Ice presents the 2021 Junior Varsity Training Camp. This four week long camp includes eight on-ice sessions and eight off-ice sessions in the Solar4America Ice Gym.

The on ice emphasis, will be on individual skills (shooting, passing, skating, puck handling) and situational play (1v1, 2v2, 3v2) to get them ready for the upcoming JV Season.

The off-ice portion will include a wide range of agility drills, power training, and conditioning exercises that will improve the players' quickness, core strength and stamina.

High School Summer Skills Series

Late June to Late August

This series is a set of practices that will be geared toward Junior Varsity level players and is open to incoming freshmen through graduating seniors.

Sessions will be fast paced in tempo, with group/station drills to maintain a proper work-to-rest ratio. Emphasis will be on individual skill development (skating, passing, shooting, puck handling.) In addition to drills, small area games will be included at the end of each practice to promote quick thinking, rapid skill development, as well as create a positive learning environment.
